Even so, there are a few easy care and maintenance tips to keep your IMPACT boat gear looking good and providing optimum protection.
The natural longevity and durability of IMPACT boat protection is due, in large part, to our choice of the highest quality outer material. The PVC-coated polyester has incredible tensile strength that guards against tears, rips and punctures. It doesn't lose strength or functionality in high temps. It's resistant to UV, fading, salt, dirt, oil, mildew and most chemicals.
And, of course, it's a gentle material that won't scratch your boat's paint or gelcoat. No tedious fender covers needed.
While IMPACT gear is tough enough to trust with one of your biggest investments (ahem...your boat), a little care and maintenance will go a long way to ensure your boat fenders, and bumpers and piling pads stay clean and looking good.
Three Easy Maintenance Tips
- Rinse. When you're rinsing your boat or dock with fresh water, give your boat fenders a quick rinse, too, whether you boat in fresh or saltwater. IMPACT gear performs and lasts beautifully all bodies of water, but a quick, clean rinse is always a welcome refresh.

Clean. It's rare that IMPACT boat gear would get a scuff mark, but as with all fenders it could happen. Your gear won't lose performance, but if you want to restore the crisp, clean look, just lightly scrub the scuff mark with the scrubby side of a sponge and some gentle dish soap.
- Maintain. Have you tried 303 Marine Protectant for your other boating needs? It's incredible! We recommend giving your IMPACT gear a quick spray and wipe treatment with 303 once or twice a year, depending on the severity of your environment. In about three minutes, you'll be supporting an even longer lifespan for an already durable product.
